child with wolves* is Baby Keem’s second studio album after his debut with The Melodic Blue in 2021. Though throughout 2022 Keem was touring and helping finish Mr. Morale, he was still able to experiment with songs like “Shibuya” and “a life of pain”.

Just days after Mr. Morale was released, Keem teased something new with frequent producer Scott Bridgeway on May 25, 2022. This would turn out to be The Melodic Blue Deluxe.

Near the end of The Big Steppers Tour in Australia, Keem and Scott Bridgeway would play a few unreleased tracks at a Nightclub in Melbourne. The tracks played were Lexus, G5, Fuck the Night Up, and two others that weren’t recorded but described as “chill”

Once the tour ended Keem went back to cryptically hinting at new music on his twitter

While performing Scapegoats at Bonnaroo in June 2023. the lyrics were changed to “tell the story three years later”. Two months after this, at the end of his set, he would announce a “new album coming soon, motherfuckers.”

When The Melodic Blue Short Film released in December 2023 it had three unreleased songs “Rock Me” produced by Baby Keem, Scott Bridgeway, and Jahaan Sweet. The song “White Laces” featuring James Blake. And finally, “Torch” which is a demo version of Trademark USA

In January, after much speculation, the album was officially revealed to be titled “Child With Wolves.“ With Keem sticking to this “eerie” concept that was first hinted at on The Melodic Blue Deluxe, even going so far as to create an “eerietimes”website.
