About “Disgusting”

Disgusting is the debut album by American hardcore band Beartooth, and is the follow-up to the debut EP, Sick, continuing the story of self hatred, speaking out, and coming to terms with the ever present human condition. The names of both releases originate from the song “Sick and Disgusting”.

Frontman Caleb Shomo wrote the songs while touring in his former band Attack Attack!. Much like Sick, Shomo sung, played all the instruments, and produced all the tracks on the album (with the exception of “In Between”, co-produced by John Feldmann).

The album was fronted by the three singles “Beaten In Lips”, “The Lines”, and “In Between”. The song “I Have A Problem” is the only song from Sick rerecorded for Disgusting.

On December 25, 2015, Beartooth released a deluxe edition containing two b sides, a cover of “Blitzkrieg Bop” by The Ramones, and an alternate version of “The Lines” labeled as “Low Gain Mix”.
