boygenius

boygenius is the self-titled debut of the supergroup consisting of three of the most exciting voices in folk-inspired indie rock, Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers, and Lucy Dacus. The EP was released on Matador Records, the home label of Baker and Dacus.

boygenius was written and recorded in just four days at Sound City Studios, LA. Each of the three members brought a finished song and an idea and worked through each track as a group, though the original intention had been to only record one song together to promote their upcoming tour.

“Stay Down”, “Me & My Dog”, and “Bite the Hand” were all pre-released as singles before the EP’s release.
