MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 ~ The Journey ~

Map of the Soul: 7 ~ The Journey ~ is the fourth Japanese studio album by BTS. It is the band’s first full length Japanese offering in 2 years since Face Yourself (2018). It was released on July 14 (US)/July 15 (Japan).

The album includes Japanese versions of songs previously released on Love Yourself 結 ‘Answer’ (2018), Map of the Soul: Persona (2019), and Map of the Soul: 7 (2020) albums, as well as four new original Japanese-language tracks: “Intro: Calling”, “Stay Gold”, “Your eyes tell”, and “Outro: The Journey”, and 2019 single Lights. BTS member Jungkook co-wrote and composed “Your eyes tell'.

“Stay Gold”, serves as the album’s lead single and was released on June 19, 2020. It conveys the message of maintaining one’s positivity, or ‘staying gold’, in spite of all the bad things going on in the world.
