Familia Tracklist
Familia is the third studio album by pop singer Camila Cabello. In July 2021, she returned to music after a year-and-a-half-long break, with the release of her single “Don’t Go Yet”. Following the track’s release, Camila revealed the name of the album.
In her July 2021 interview for YouTube’s RELEASED, the singer touched on the album’s content and inspiration:
There’s definitely some surprises on the album, perspectives people haven’t heard me come from before, things I haven’t talked about before. And sonically, a whole new kind of landscape for me that draws on a lot of my roots, I’m Cuban-Mexican. Drawing from my childhood.
On February 21, 2022, Camila came to Twitter to announce the album’s second single, “Bam Bam”, which is a collaboration with British singer Ed Sheeran. She posted a pre-save link to the song.
The song was officially released two weeks after the announcement, on March 4, 2022. The day before its release, Camila said that her album would come out on April 8, 2022.

What is the inspiration behind the album?
This whole album to me was inspired by two things: family and food. Your family by blood, but also your chosen family. Who you want to break bread with. Who you want to sit at the dinner table with, cook a meal for, get wine-drunk with, and dance in the living room with. To me, those are the moments that make me glad to be alive, those moments of collective joy and true vulnerability and connection with other people. Moments where the food you cooked together feeds your soul and so does the laughter, conversation, and emotional intimacy. I hope you enjoy it and I hope it inspires many wine drunk kitchen dance parties for you and your familia.

Why is the album called Familia?
In a November 2021 interview with Billboard, Camila explained:
This album to me means community, I guess the opposite of you on your own. It’s more you with other people land sharing in that joy and success, whatever that means. Interdependence realizing how important everybody is in your life. A lot of it is inspired by my relationships: My relationships to my family, my relationship to my friends, my relationship to my partner… it’s all about connections with other people, hence, Familia.

Who is on the cover with Camila?
Camila’s cousin, Carolina, is featured on the cover with her, who also did background vocals on “Celia”.

Familia debuted at #10 on the chart, moving with 27,500 units its first week. It marks Cabello’s third top ten album on the chart.
