Desire, I Want To Turn Into You: Everasking Edition

Caroline Polachek has been teasing a Deluxe Edition of her album since the release of the original. The first hint of this new edition came with the release of the single “Dang” in October 2023.

Caroline described the deluxe edition as a “Valentine’s Gift for fans,” aligning its release with Valentine’s Day and the one-year anniversary of the original album, a revelation she made at the 66th GRAMMYs. The excitement continued as it was announced the next day that a second single, featuring a collaboration version “Butterfly Net” with Weyes Blood, available on February 7th, which is especially noteworthy as Caroline and Weyes Blood had previously performed “Butterfly Net” together during Caroline’s tour.

On February 22nd, eight days after Everasking Edition was officially released, Caroline announced she would add “Long Road Home” to complete the album with 20 tracks. The song, originally by Oneohtrix Point Never, was previously only avaliable as “Billions” b-side single, released two years earlier in February 9th, 2022.
