Dancing Queen

Dancing Queen is the twenty-sixth studio album from Cher, and the first in five years following 2013’s Closer to the Truth . The album contains cover versions of songs recorded by Swedish pop group ABBA, with the title referencing their 1976 song “Dancing Queen”. The album follows Cher’s appearance in the 2018 comedy film Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, based on the music of ABBA.

The album title and cover were announced on August 10, 2018, with the lead single “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!” also being released via digital retailers with a pre-order on the same day. The entire album was produced by longtime collaborator Mark Taylor.
