Remember Crazy Town? They’re back after a 13 year absence, one that was in part enforced by the success of single “Butterfly.”
Nu-Metal was dead by the mid 2000s, and despite the valiant efforts of Linkin Park, it still hasn’t experienced a renaissance. Despite this, The Brimstone Sluggers is unapologetically rap-rock, much to the disappointment of critics. Crazy Town didn’t half promote the record either, releasing 3 singles and going on an extended press run. This wasn’t enough to make the record a commercial success, and the fact it failed to chart anywhere is a slight disappointment considering their debut record was certified platinum in 4 countries.
