Her Loss Tracklist
Her Loss is a collaborative album by Toronto rapper Drake and Atlanta rapper 21 Savage. The album was initially slated for release on October 28, 2022, but was pushed back one week to November 4, 2022, following Noah “40” Shebib’s COVID-19 diagnosis.
Rumors of a collaborative album sparked on October 20, when producer DDot Omen took to Twitter teasing about the project. 21 Savage denied the rumors, responding with “🧢” to an Instagram post talking about the album.
The next day, Drake revealed the album’s title in the official music video to “Jimmy Cooks,” released the day after 21 Savage’s 30th birthday, along with a snippet of the track “FOWARD” by SBTRKT – an artist heavily associated with the OVO clique.
The promotional cycle for the album featured Drake and 21 Savage parodying NPR’s Tiny Desk series, staging a fake Howard Stern interview, and selling fake issues of Vogue with the pair photoshopped over the October issue of the magazine. The album’s cover and tracklist was revealed on November 2, 2022, via Drake’s Instagram.

Man, for a very long time, I’ve just wanted to do anything involving music with Drake. I’ve been telling him for the last, I don’t know how many years, like, bro, “Can I even just be in a room? I just want to soak it up and just see how you do it. I want to see you rap, anything”. For real, ‘cause in my opinion, he’s the greatest rapper ever. And I look up to him. And he always loved my beat selection. He was one of the first people to post my albums and be like “Man, your beat selections are so crazy”, and that’s crazy to hear from him. Especially during times when nobody was really fucking with me. I never had many rap friends. […] And we just hung out and, I don’t know, man, it just happened. I don’t even know what it is that people think I did. I feel great about the project, I think it’s great, just because I was there. Man, I grew up listening to Drake, so to be able to be a part of something that he’s done… I don’t take nothing for granted.
