About “FO3*”

This tracklist is unconfirmed. It is compiled of recent singles, snippets, and song titles sourced from streaming services, PRO’s, and social media. It is purely speculative and has not been confirmed by the artist. We will update this tracklist as more information comes to light.

FO3 is New Orleans native Frank Ocean’s third studio album. This project is the follow-up to a pair of August 2016 releases: his sophomore album Blonde and his visual album Endless. The project will be released through his independent music label, blonded.

On October 18, 2019, Frank Ocean teased snippets of two new tracks, “Cayendo” and “Dear April,” at his ‘PrEP+’ nightlife event in New York City. A day later, he debuted the single “DHL” via his blonded RADIO broadcast. The track served as his first solo release in over two years.

On November 2, 2019, Ocean released another single, “In My Room.” Then, on April 3, 2020, Ocean released the aforementioned pair of teased singles “Cayendo” and “Dear April.”

After a long silence from Ocean (perhaps from the COVID-19 pandemic or the untimely death of his younger brother, Ryan Breaux), Ocean was announced to be headlining Coachella 2023. This was followed by new merch, including new vinyl pressings of Blonde and various posters. In one of these posters, Ocean hinted at the possible release of a new album:

The Recording Artist attempts to explain to the major music label that the singles distribution model as opposed to the long-form album model. The Recording Artist believes the latter to be outdated […] The Recording Artist has since changed his mind about the singles model and is again interested in more durational bodies of work.
