These Things Happen Too is the fourth studio album from Bay Area rapper G-Eazy.
The project is a sequel to his first commercial album, 2014’s These Things Happen. He first confirmed the idea of a sequel back in April 2019 when speaking to his alma mater, Loyola University School of Music Industry.
G-Eazy went on to reference the project multiple times since that acknowledgement, including noting a point in 2020 that he was hundreds of tracks into the album’s creation.
In August, G-Eazy released “Running Wild (Tumblr Girls 2)” as a way to officially declare the album was on the way. Giving a nod back to the original These Things Happen confirmed that the sequel was coming.
After announcing that the project would release on September 24, G-Eazy teamed up with Demi Lovato to drop “Breakdown.” The track was also featured in the Netflix series “Tiletown.”
These Things Happen Too debuted and peaked at #19 on the Billboard 200 for the chart week of October 9, 2021.
