5 & A Fuck You is GRIP’s follow-up to his 2021 Shady Records debut I Died For This!?… but not exactly. As explained in the lyrics of “Many Thanks”, 5 & A Fuck You was mostly cooked up over the span of a week to hold fans over while waiting for sample clearance for his proper Shady follow-up. The 11-song project contains features from frequent collaborators Tate228, TU! (under his rap alias AHYES), and Wara, as well as rising Atlanta lyricist MARCO PLUS. Production is mostly handled by JID collaborator Latrell James and Aminé/Logic collaborator Tedd Boyd.
