the loved ones is juno’s third EP and their first release of the year, following up October 2021’s dream log.

juno first teased about a new EP on New Year’s Day, where he took to Twitter listing all of their goals for the new year, one of them being releasing two EP’s on the same year:

goals for next year!!
- go on some kind of tour / do minimum like 10 shows
(if covid allows it)
- 75k followers maybe? idk something like that
- 500k monthly listeners maybe even 1 million WHO KNOWS
- learn to produce (drop a self
produced song!!!!)
- make/drop 2 ep’s minimum

Then on February 10, 2022, juno took to Twitter asking fans if they wanted a new EP released during the Spring season. They would then follow up with another tweet confirming that they were making a new EP.

On March 23, 2022, juno releaed the EP’s lead single, “le fleir.”

On April 15, 2022, juno confirmed on Twitter that the EP was fully finished. They would later post an image of them submitting the album, with a blurred cover art revealing the EP’s title.

Finally, on May 2, 2023, juno revealed to social media the EP’s cover art and tracklist. Jane Remover (formally known as dltzk) and kmoe serves as the EP’s sole features.
