I Need You is the third compilation album from American country-pop artist LeAnn Rimes, released on January 30, 2001, via Curb Records. The album was released without Rimes' input and was disowned by Rimes days after the release of the album. The album peaked at number ten on the Billboard 200 chart. A re-issue of the album was released on March 26, 2002.
The album consists of tracks that were recorded, but not featured on previous albums, as well as singles and songs that had been released between 1999 and 2000.
Rimes was very vocal about her disappointment of the album release, as it was released without her input, which she discussed in a press release back in 2001:
This album was made without my creative input. It consists largely of unfinished material and songs that didn’t make other albums … I want to make abundantly clear to you that this album is not a reflection of myself as an artist but is solely the conception of Curb Records, and for that I am truly and deeply sorry.
