As You Were

About “As You Were”

As You Were is the debut album released by Liam Gallagher as a solo artist. The name of the album is derived from how Liam “signs off” all his tweets from his twitter profile.

In an interview with KROQ, when asked about how he came up with the sign off, Liam replied:

I’ve kind of been the person that says it [As You Were] more than anyone else. But John Lennon used to wear these t-shirts with You are here, and I always just liked that. It kind of reminds me of as you were. I mean it doesn’t really mean anything, but you know, I think it looks good.

The standard edition of the album will feature 12 tracks, whereas the deluxe edition will feature 15 tracks. The songs “Paper Crown,” “It Doesn’t Have To Be That Way,” and “Come Back To Me,” as well as the lead single “Wall of Glass,” were produced by Greg Kurstin. The remainder of the tracks were produced by Dan Grech-Marguerat.
