Lil Boat

Lil Yachty’s debut commercial mixtape Lil Boat through label Quality Control tells the story of Yachty and his alter ego Lil Boat, essentially two sides of the same red-headed coin, as they are introduced and developed throughout the project.

The tape comes after the prior year’s Summer Songs EP, which had the original versions of “One Night” and “Minnesota”. The two songs were updated to include an extra verse by Yachty and three extra features, respectively. In fact, the album had an impressive feature list for Yachty at the time, most notably Atlanta natives Young Thug and Quavo, both of whom Yachty would go on to collaborate with multiple times in the future.
