About “Sleeping With Ghosts”

Sleeping With Ghosts is Placebo’s fourth studio album, released April 1 2003. It was preceded by the single “The Bitter End,” released 10th of March 2003 and peaked at number 12 on the UK charts, the highest charting single from the record.

Four more singles were released: “This Picture,” “Special Needs,” “English Summer Rain,” and the French version of “Protect Me From What I Want,” titled “Protege Moi.” The video for “Protege Moi” was directed by Gasper Noé, and was too sexually explicit to be officially released. Instead, tour footage from their Soulmates Never Die tour was used.

The album went Gold in the UK, and double platinum in France. It peaked at number 11 on the UK charts, and number 1 in France. It was produced by Jim Abiss.
The album received a special vinyl re-release in 2015.
