“Russian Roulette” is a mini-album performed by South Korean girl group, Red Velvet. This mini-album has a collection of seven songs and the title track, “러시안 룰렛” (Russian Roulette), “Lucky Girl”, “Bad Dracula”, “Sunny Afternoon”, “Fool”, “Some Love” and “My Dear”. This is their third mini-album since, “The Velvet”.
The pop track is mixed with synth-pop showing off a vintage but groovy aesthetic.
The mini-album is also named after Russian game, “русская рулетка” (Russian roulette), it’s known as a deadly game where in each round there is a revolver pointed in the middle of a table, every round the revolver spins to a player and they choose the head or body to shoot at.
The mini-album was also known to win an award during the 2017 Golden Disc Awards. It was nominated for Album Bonsang but ended up as just nominated without a win. The song even peaked at multiple charts such as, United States (US) World Albums (Billboard), United States (US) Heatseekers Album and more.
