Lost At Sea

Rob Grant

About “Lost At Sea”

“Lost At Sea” is Rob Grant’s (father of Lana Del Rey) debut album, released on the 9th of June 2023 with Decca Records. After working on Del Rey’s Blue Banisters in 2021, Rob continued his exploration into music. He describes himself as “an accidental recording artist” who “has never had a lesson on any instrument in his life”. His lack of formal training was no impediment to the creation of his debut album. He enlisted the talent of Jack Antonoff, Luke Howard, Laura Sisk, and Zach Dawes as album collaborators.

In March of 2022, Grant took to Instagram to describe his project as “ethereal”. In September of 2022, the Grant family live-streamed during a fishing trip where Lana Del Rey accidentally confirmed that Rob Grant would be releasing his debut album. “Lost At Sea” was confirmed by Grant via Instagram on February 23, 2023 along with the announcement of the lead single “Setting Sail On A Distant Horizon” to be released the following day.
