Reality Killed the Video Star

Robbie Williams

About “Reality Killed the Video Star”

Robbie’s 8th album, released November 6, 2009. The album was his first release in three years, after Rudebox’s failure with the critics and his time in rehab. It continues exploring the electronic sounds of the previous album while coming back to his usual rock style. Though it missed the number one spot in the UK albums chart (being beaten by JLSself-titled debut album) and received mixed reviews, Reality Killed the Video Star sold remarkably well worldwide, reaching platinum certifications.

The name of the album is based on the song “Video Killed the Radio Star” by The Buggles, a band which Trevor Horn, the producer, was a part of.
