Same Truck is Scotty McCreery’s fifth studio album, being released via Triple Tigers, features 12 songs, including his Top 15 single You Time and another recently released song, Why You Gotta Be Like That.
Scotty McCreery made the announcement a little earlier than expected, telling fans on Thursday, July 22 that his latest project will drop on Sept. 17. In his social media announcement, the 27-year-old admitted that he and his team hadn’t planned on sharing the news until August, but his fans had played detective and figured out the album’s name.

What have the artists said about the album?
We had a lot of an album ready to go before the pandemic and, if I’m being honest, I didn’t feel I was writing my best stuff – I didn’t think I had a ‘Five More Minutes’ or a ‘This Is It’ here. A silver lining over last year is that I had that extra time to pick up a guitar and write songs. There were a lot of Zoom writes. We had a couple songs we wrote before that made the record, but most of this would be from the last year and half.
