How To Let Go (Special Edition)

the biggest news today is that the Special Edition of How To Let Go is out !!!! I couldn’t be more excited about this. alternative (acoustic) versions of all the songs from the album, plus two brand new songs Everybody Says They’re Fine and Blue

ESTF is written together with Caroline Ailin, Brett Leland and Sylvester Sivertsen and Blue together with Odd Martin Skålnes

and as for all the alternative Up Close versions of the album tracks- it’s produced with wizard Askjell Solstrand. we’ve made acoustic versions of all my singles since the beginning, and it’s been one of my favourite things to do. it’s been like a check in on the songwriting during heavy touring and promoting, and just really chill and nice so I knew I wanted to do it again, but this time make a complete body of work! we had the best time making this in Lydriket in Bergen and Ocean Sound Recordings in Ålesund

and then there’s visuals… everything will come in its time but there’s so many visuals for these new versions! I knew the right director would be Sigurd Fossen (and if you’ve been around for a while, you may remember him directing the Plot Twist video in Bergen a couple years ago). in that video, we ran around Bergen with friend ending it with a house party in our old shared flat. this time I wanted to show Oslo, where I’ve lived for the past few years. and I kid you not, we filmed all these videos in 2 days. it was very intense but with the incredible film crew we pulled it off!
