“Club Classics: Vol. One” is the 1989 debut album and most known release of the British Neo-Soul collective Soul II Soul. Under their original line up of Aitch B, Rose, Jazzie B, Jazzie Q, Doreen Waddell, Caron Wheeler, and Daddae, Soul II Soul produced its first of two #1 albums with the support of top-charter “Back to Life”, which won the Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group and club hit “Keep on Movin'”, which garnered 3 Soul Train Awards, along with singles “Jazzie’s Groove”, “Feel Free” and “Fairplay”. “African Dance” also won them their second Grammy Award for Best R&B Instrumental Performance.
