Sundowning

Released two years after their previous EP, “Two”, Sundowning is the first full length studio album from masked British rock band, Sleep Token.

Though established somewhat in their earlier work, Sundowning builds massively on the diversity of Sleep Tokens' sound, opening the concept album with a bold, theatrical track, guiding the listener through genres to repeatedly break musical traditions, manipulating soundscapes to evoke emotive highs and lows throughout. By switching between growing and declining on its references to impulse and restriction, conceptually the album avows the turmoil in uncertainty from track to track, exposing vulnerabilities, power, lust and idealisation across the 12 tracks.
