CLEAR 2: SOFT LIFE Tracklist
CLEAR 2: Soft Life EP is the third Extended Play by American R&B singer and song-writer Summer Walker, released on May 19, 2023, under the license of LVRN and Interscope Records.
The EP was officially announced during her performance at the Dreamville Festival.
With a total of 9 songs, Summer Walker taps into her Neo Soul bag, opting for live instrumentations and smooth jazzy grooves, throughout the EP.
This new style is partly inspired by fellow Neo Soul musician Erykah Badu; who recently acted as Summer’s doula, helping to give birth to her children.
Soft Life features guest appearances from J. Cole and Childish Gambino and includes production from a variety of musicians including Remey Williams, Qué Soul, Solo Otto and Jay Versace. Solange, Steve Lacy and John Carroll Kirby also contribute to the production in the spoken-word closing track Agayu’s Revelation.
The project serves as the follow-up to the deluxe version of her critically acclaimed sophomore album Still Over It, released on November of 2021, and a sequel to her 2019 EP CLEAR.
The music video for Pull Up was also released simultaneously with the EP.

How did this EP perform on the charts?
CLEAR 2: SOFT LIFE debuted and peaked at #26 on the Billboard 200 for the chart week ending June 3, 2023. The EP moved 24,000 equivalent units in its first sales week.

I wouldn’t call it a continuation of CLEAR, like the first one, ’cause the first one was kinda sad… and I’m in a different space, so this one is more happy. This [is] just a continuation in the sense of the music ’cause it’s all live. All my CLEAR projects are live.
