All Delighted People EP

The All Delighted People EP by Sufjan Stevens was released on October 20, 2010. His sixth studio album, The Age Of Adz, was released less than a month later.

Given their closely aligned releases, it’s no wonder that both the All Delighted People EP and The Age Of Adz explore apocalyptic themes. Likewise, elements of electronica from The Age Of Adz made appearances in the All Delighted People EP, specifically in the final track “Djohariah”.

Ultimately, however, the EP stands on its own merit and possess its own style, which takes from the grand sound of Illinois and the slight daring and thematic concern of The Age of Adz, before combining it with orchestrations informed by his then-recent film score, The BQE.
