THINK LATER is the highly anticipated sophomore studio album from Tate McRae released on December 8, 2023. The album’s title was first seen in a Instagram story posted by McRae on April 26, 2023, then teased in an album teaser with a clapperboard featuring the phrase, and adding a small snippet of the title track afterwards. The album was released through RCA Records and Sony Music Entertainment.
THINK LATER follows after McRae’s beloved debut album, i used to think i could fly, released in May 2022. After McRae’s 2022 tour ended, she started teasing her being back in the studio and creating new music. In an Instagram Live in December, 2022, McRae said that she had started to plan out her next album and the writing sessions. She also stated that the writing sessions officially started in January 2023. On January 23, 2023, in a Tweet, McRae said,

The fourteen track tracklist features the two pre-release singles, “greedy”, issued on September 15, and “exes”, issued on November 17. The tracklist was teased on November 26, and announced three days later.

THINK LATER debuted at #4 on the Billboard 200, moving 66,000 equivalent album units (8,000 from pure sales and 58,000 from streaming equivalent album units, equaling 75.99 million on-demand stream). It is McRae’s highest charting album and her first to chart within the top 10, as i used to think i could fly peaked at #11.
