Center Point Road is the fourth studio album by American country music singer Thomas Rhett, released on May 31, 2019 via Valory Records. Rhett played a huge part in the album process, helping to co-write and co-produce all sixteen tracks.
“Look What God Gave Her” was released as the lead single from the album on March 1, 2019. The song proved to be another hit for Rhett, peaking at number four on the Billboard Hot Country Songs.
On the week ending June 6, 2019, the album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, making it his second album to do so, following the number one debut of his previous 2017 album, Life Changes. The album earned 76,000 equivalent album units, and of that sum, 45,000 were in album sales.
We got pitched so many outside songs that were so great, but I think one of the things that lacks for me on outside songs is that my personality couldn’t have been put into it. So I’ve really enjoyed getting to write all the songs on this record. Maybe it’s a blessing, maybe it’s a curse. We’re gonna find out. But it’s really nice to be able to put my personality on each and every song. When I do write a song, I do feel that much more attached to it. Especially when you see them go on the radio, and people starting to sing your songs back too, you know when you’re a part of that co-write is very special.
