As publishing curated playlists in the form of EPs containing already-released music becomes more and more common with music artists, TobyMac continues riding the bandwagon with Music For The People, just one week after releasing All In and three weeks after Beat of My Heart. Containing five of his most popular songs from his entire solo career, McKeehan re-shares them “to spread the message of unity, purpose and loving one another with the love of Jesus.”

With four non-album singles following the 2018 studio release of The Elements three years prior and teasing his Hits Deep 2021 Tour personnel concerning his many hours in the studio, this EP may also be meant to keep fans in anticipation of his upcoming eighth full-length studio album.
