The St. Nemele Collab Sessions

TobyMac

About “The St. Nemele Collab Sessions”

Always wanting to do a collaboration album since the intermission of DC Talk, GRAMMY Award-winning artist TobyMac finally gets his wish with The St. Nemele Collab Sessions. Featuring several other popular Christian artists of the late 2010s, including Crowder, Cory Asbury, LEDGER, Aaron Cole, and Bart Millard (of MercyMe), among others, the album is not a traditional collaboration album. Instead, it is more of a remix album with artists featured on tracks that didn’t already have featured artists in addition to the new song “Heart of My Beat.”

The album’s title is “Elements” backwards, referencing the 2018 album where all of the studio versions of the remixes come from: The Elements.

It was released digitally on August 23rd, 2019, and physically a month later on September 27th, 2019.

“The St. Nemele Collab Sessions” Q&A

  • What have the artists said about the album?

The St. Nemele Sessions took these songs somewhere else. I’ve wanted to do a collab record since the beginning of my solo artistry. I came up producing and writing DC Talk songs so I was used to having a vocal arsenal at my fingertips, which I think keeps songs interesting. This is a dream lineup of guest artists and each bring their own vocal uniqueness to the remixes of The Elements. The power of collaboration is undeniable and reminds me that there is purpose in our diversity. There’s nothing better than guest artists taking songs to new heights, and remixers putting their own creative spin on songs that are part of my heart and soul.
