THE SECOND STEP : CHAPTER TWO

This is the 2nd and final installment of Treasure’s ‘THE SECOND STEP’ franchise, includes title track ‘Hello’. Contrary to the first chapter EP, this release shows a brighter concept and a full involvement of members in writing and producing.

Notably, this EP contains 2 unit songs from the group. First unit track, “VolKno” of rapper line (Hyun-suk, Haruto & Yoshi) is a rock-hiphop song, it pays homage to their seniors (BIGBANG, Jinusean, 1TYM, Mino and Bobby as MOBB).

While “Thank You” was written and performed by Japanese members Haruto and Asahi, the track shows their sincere gratitude to a love that ended beautifully, which taught them valuable lessons in life.

This is also the final release from Treasure to include members Bang Ye Dam and Mashiho. On November 8, 2022, 1 month after the EP release, YG Entertainment announced Ye Dam and Mashiho had terminated their exclusive contracts ‘on mutual agreement’. As a result, ‘The Second Step’ project was scrapped indefinitely. Instead, Treasure will release their next album called ‘REBOOT’ in August 2023.
