About “Liberman”

Liberman is the fifth studio album by American singer-songwriter Vanessa Carlton, released on October 23, 2015, via Dine Alone Records. This marks her first album in four years since the release of Rabbits on the Run (2011) and her first release on a new label after leaving Razor & Tie. The album was named after an oil painting that was done by her late grandfather, whos given name was Liberman.

The album did not chart on the Billboard 200, making it her first album to not to do so, but it did peak at #32 on the Billboard US Independent Albums chart.

A total of three singles were released from the album: “Operator”, “House of Seven Swords”, “Nothing Where Something Used to Be”.
