Born Arlene Aleese Simmons on January 24, 1964, Aleese Simmons released one album in 1988 entitled I Want It. The single “I Want To Be Your Lover” was a modest hit and reached #9 in the R&B charts. Aleese Simmons has retained a foothold in the music industry, both as founder of AMI Records and as manager for her daughter, contemporary R&B singer Latrelle Simmons.
