GAEUL (IVE)

AKA: Kim Ga Eul (김가을)

About GAEUL (IVE)

Gaeul (가을), born Kim Ga Eul (김가을) on September 24, 2002, in Bupyeong-gu, Incheon, South Korea, is the eldest member of K-Pop girl group IVE. She was officially announced as a member of IVE on November 4, 2021, via the group’s twitter account, and later introduced herself via “SHOW WHAT I HAVE – IVE GAEUL” on YouTube.

Gaeul was cast by Starship Entertainment after the agency saw her competing at the 2017 Incheon Youth Dance Competition. She joined Starship before fellow IVE members Wonyoung and Yujin, and was supposed to participate in Produce 48 alongside them, but in the end remained a private trainee.

In an episode of IVE’s YouTube series 1,2,3 IVE, Gaeul can be seen showing off her powerful dancing with IVE’s maknae Leeseo, as they cover NCT U’s “BOSS.” Gaeul is also listed as one of IVE’s rappers. She gave a small glimspe of her ability in her intro video, and after debut, performed a rap verse on Weekly Idol that she had written herself.
