About Danielle Dax

Danielle Dax is an English singer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist.
After a brief career in modeling, she joined the avant-garde band Lemon Kittens in 1979.
She did the artwork for all of the band’s releases.
After Lemon Kittens went into an “extended hibernation”, Dax began her solo career in 1983 debuting with the album ‘Pop Eyes’, in which all of the instruments were done by herself, as well as the producing and artwork.
‘Jesus Egg that Wept’ was released in 1984, ‘Inky Bloaters’ in 1987, ‘Dark Adapted Eye’ in 1988, and ‘Blast the Human Flower’ in 1990.
Her last two albums were released in 1995. ‘Comatose Non-Reaction: The Thwarted Pop Career of Danielle Dax’ and the EP ‘Timber Tongue’.
In 2022, the single ‘Invictus Arduis’ was released.
Since 1996, Dax has also worked in interior design, appearing several times on the BBC show Homefront and winning the Designer of the Year award.
