Eric (THE BOYZ)

Eric Sohn, known mononymously as Eric (에릭) is a Korean-American performer in K-Pop group THE BOYZ under IST Entertainment. He is the group’s youngest member, born December 22, 2000 in Seoul but was raised in Los Angeles, California. He is a lead rapper and lead dancer, also contributing as a lyricist for his raps. Since he grew up in the United States, he is one of the three THE BOYZ members fluent in English.

Eric was scouted in a global audition in Los Angeles. On an episode of DIVE STUDIOS, Eric shared that “he was chased down during his audition” by a staff member, even if he was not confident in his abilities. He ended up passing the audition and becoming a trainee at Cre.Ker Entertainment shortly after.

Since his debut, Eric has grown as an artist and performer, becoming one of THE BOYZ’s key rappers. Eric also started releasing solo projects on THE BOYZ’s SoundCloud account, following members Sunwoo and Sangyeon. He published “SOMEWHERE” and “O.M.W” in 2021 and was featured on some of the other member’s releases as well.
