About Morgan O’Connor

Rising music producer, songwriter and artist, MORGAN O’CONNOR, is one to watch in 2021. Only 25-years-old, he’s already produced and written for chart-topping artists Future, Lil Durk, Juice WRLD, Young Thug and Gunna. Over the past two years, Morgan has accrued co-producing and co-writing credits on Future’s “Last Name,” Juice WRLD’s “Can’t Die,” Gunna’s “ARGENTINA,” as well as Lil Durk tracks “No Label,” “Coming Clean” and “Different Meaning.” He also produced and wrote the majority of “country trap” songs on viral music artist Kidd G’s debut EP Teenage Dream, which peaked at No. 3 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums Chart.

O’Connor, who was raised in Florida and Rhode Island, picked up the guitar at the age of eight and eventually began performing with bands in school talent shows and at local events. By 15, he found himself fully immersed in the modeling world as the face of Polo Ralph Lauren, yet Morgan never lost his deep passion for music. That passion reignited upon meeting 808 Mafia member DY Krazy in Atlanta in 2016. The two hit it off and quickly became co-collaborators, on the forefront of developing a palpable “Acoustic Trap” sound—a fusion of trap, folk, country and rock that blends melodic acoustic guitar riffs with heavy-hitting 808 drums.

Morgan regularly curates his own creative hub—a collective of established and up-and-coming artists, producers and writers in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Nashville, Miami and London who come together and further develop “Acoustic Trap.” Southside, Williskeating, Young Kio, Frankie Bash and Bobby Raps have all played a part in the rise of this creative collective.

Currently, Morgan is working on his own project and splits his time between Los Angeles, New York and Nashville. Connect with him on Instagram @morganoconnor and @acoustictrap.
