About Paul Tobias

Paul Tobias (also known as Paul Huge) is an American musician known rather infamously for being in Guns N' Roses from 1994 to 2002 as rhythm guitarist and occasional pianist.

Tobias was a childhood friend of singer Axl Rose’s and co-wrote two songs for his first band, Hollywood Rose. In 1994, he replaced guitarist Gilby Clarke, causing a stir among bandmates. Other Guns N' Roses members Slash, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum objected to Rose about his inclusion in the band, with Sorum calling him the “Yoko Ono of Guns N' Roses” in a later interview. Slash, McKagan and Sorum all either left or were fired in the late 90’s, leaving Rose, keyboardist Dizzy Reed and Tobias as the only members left from the previous era.
