Big Meme!

The Imagine Dragons are back with their sophomore album, Smoke + Mirrors. They are one of the most popular bands on Rock Genius, so this album is a huge opportunity for us. Check it out:

Priorities:

• Annotate – many of the pages are largely blank at the moment, so the first thing we need to focus on is getting up good annotations to act as a model for the new users that will be visiting the pages.
• Edit/Coach – new users will start to flock in now that the album has been released. Follow the pages and encourage them, but also make sure that you edit up their annotations so the pages look awesome.
• Transcribe – there are a small handful of deluxe tracks that the @transcribers can take a look at. There’s even a head start for ya here
• Back Catalog – much of their last album, Night Visions, is in pretty rough shape. Those pages are going to be getting a lot of renewed views now that the new album is out. A good sweep would be a great start.

“Gold,” “I Bet My Life” and “Shots” are in very good shape at the moment – let’s try to get every page up to that quality!

Is it me, or is the mastering/mixing off, at least on the Spotify edition?

I’ve been listening to this album a hell of a lot over the past seven days or so. I’m sure you guys would like it if I made a couple more annotations on production. I’m kinda stuck at what half of the lyrics on this album means, so it’ll be my only way of being actually useful to this particular project! XD
