I honestly don’t really get why people hate Big Sean so much.
I mean his “I Decided” album has a lot of great tracks like Light, Halfway Off The Balcony, Jump Out The Window, Bounce Back, Owe Me and Same Time Pt. 1.

Sure I think that songs like “So Good”, “Deserve It”, and some lyrics on “Moves” have some kinda bad and corny lines, but I do think that Sean is not terrible as an artist, I think that he is pretty great most of the time.

If you hate or dislike Big Sean, leave a comment on this post and explain why, becuz I would really like to know why he get’s so hated on a lot of the times. I barely see anyone saying anything postive about him.

Sean isn’t even hated by most people on this site. He’s always gotten positive results in the surveys I conduct.

Just the people who do hate him are super vocal about it.

Big Sean is probably like, the definition of “middle of the road”.

He’s fine. He’s good. But he’s far from the best. And there’s essentially nothing about him that stands out.

That’s my take on Sean.

He really should be called Medium Sean.

Nothing about him is extreme in any direction. Not his height. Not his weight. Not his age, or his race, or his gender, or his overall appearance in any way. Not his personality, not his persona, not his subject matter. He has no gimmick.

He’s mainstream, but he’s never been contender for the biggest artist of any given year. He’s good, but he’s never released an AOTY or even a classic, and he’s in very few people’s top 5 new school. He’s not a gangsta. He’s not a “mumble rapper”. He’s not “concious” like Kendrick and Cole. He’s not an “artiste” like Gambino. He’s never been involved in any particular movement or subgenre.

He really feels like one of the most medium rappers out there.

The way I see it is that he is an elite rapper who gets a bad rep for some corny lines. Sean has the ability to snap on any track he’s on and clearly has made great projects in the past (ie. DSP, I Decided).

I can definitely see where some people dislike his music but I think he’s one of the best out rn and am just waiting for him to drop a classic project. I know he has it in him but he hasn’t put it all together yet imo.
