I dont know what’s wrong with RG but I always thought the colour Pink best represented Pop music. I think the colour Red is more comparable to Rock because its rebelious and hot. Also what other colours do you think is comparable to other genres.

Rock Genius = rock + pop (so maybe pink is the best midpoint)

Not sure about that Notero, I heard Rock Genius also includes other genres too supposely. There was a Dubstep fan and a RnB fan on here and they were directed to make their threads here. If that’s the case, Rock Genius should be Black (the colours you get when you mix all colors togeather)

Yeah I hated the pink at the beginning too but once you realize your aversion to it is really just a response to the social construct placed over the color to propagate hegemonic masculinity/the patriarchal agenda and that generations past of this constructionism dictates what colors correspond to what genders/genres of music/verticals of rapgenius, it stops bothering you as much

@Dice_Kube When you mix all the colours together, you get white. Black is the absence of light. If you’re using paint then mixing all the colours gets you brown.

Pink is a bit similar to Poetry’s purple, but other than that I’m fine with it.
