If you’re new here, here’s an outline:

Every week, @glitzy or myself ask users to:

A) share a song of the week. This could be your most-listened-to song, a new release, or just a track you’re vibing with.

B) answer a weekly question. These are just random topics chosen in the hopes that it’ll help us all to get to know each other better and bond over other interests.

Here’s what we discussed last time!

This week’s question is:

What is your favourite kind of chocolate?

QOTW: Dark chocolate and if it has mint, even better

QOTW: Did some one say chocolate?! As long as it isn’t too sweet, I don’t care, and I’m not a brand snob either.

SOTW: “Landmines” by Rishloo, “To Leila” by Rivals, and as much as I hate the word ‘vibing’ it accurately describes what I’ve been doing with Celeste by Lena Raine. Really should check out the whole album.

qotw: any chocolate that’s not american! but really, that stuff’s gross. my favourite chocolate is by the Dutch ethical brand Tony’s Chocolonely. they have really creative flavours.

fun fact: the company sent a few bars for free to some Netflix shows. Orange is the New Black decided to feature a bar in one of their scenes, and even named the brand, without telling the chocolate company in advance or expecting payment. everyone was really shocked when this happened!

sotw: it’s either “Een Teken” by Dutch artist Froukje or “Naked” by FINNEAS. :)

qotw: you know those cookies & cream hershey’s bars? those are my favoriteee.

I’ve been bumping “That’s Hilarious” by Charlie Puth since it came out last friday!

Ngl, Charlie Puth has always been in the background for me (minus a few songs i.e. “LA Girls, Attention, etc.) but since summer of last year i’ve been listening to snippets of all his unreleased songs, including "That’s Hilarious”, “Loser” (His next single FYI), “Reply 2 This”, “Me and You”, “Her” and “Sick”, and I love the direction he’s been moving towards since Voicenotes.

If he was making bangers like those since I first heard him in 2015, I would probably have this man in my top 10 artists by now.

I liked “Light Switch” when it was played on Tik Tok, but the song was kind of underwhelming once it was released. That’s Hilarious didn’t change much from the Tik Tok snippets and I love that.

Hip Hop has dominated my time here on Genius (and my Apple Music for years), so it’s refreshing to find other music that’s just as good, in another direction.

My favorite kind chocolate is Dark chocolate.

QOTW: Oh hey, I can do worse than dark chocolate! I like white chocolate and I’m not ashamed to admit it even if it’s not “real chocolate”. ;D

SOTW: Arntor, a Warrior by Windir, easily. I could sit here and sing my praises of it and the rest of the album it’s on, but I’m not gonna do that. I just really love the brutal metal vocals Valfar provides on it with Steinarson’s clean singing as contrast and that’s more than good enough for my entire week.
