After many pushbacks and troubles Chris Brown had to face, it seems like he is finally back on track with his latest 6th release – X . The album features smash singles “Loyal” and “New Flame” and a star-studded roster of features including Kendrick Lamar, Brandy, Jhene Aiko, R.Kelly and Trey Songz with whom Breezy will be going on tour soon.

X is without a doubt Chris Brown’s most personal album up to date on which not only does he cope with his failed relationships but also with his own demons. While the project is due to be released on 16th September you can already check out all the lyrics here.

Mary J. releases “Right Now” & we revisit What’s the 411?

On September 5th, Mary J. Blige released “Right Now” – the first single off her upcoming 13th studio album The London Sessions that Mary recorded in London, UK. Featuring production from Disclosure, “Right Now” offers an interesting complement to Mary’s soulful voice by way of a modern electro sound. While waiting for the album to drop, you can check out Blige’s and Smith’s duet of the hit “Stay With Me” here.

In anticipation of the album’s release this November, we’re also revisiting her debut 1992 album What’s the 411? With help from a young Puff Daddy as the album’s executive producer, What’s the 411? defined a new musical genre and earned Mary the title ‘Queen of Hip Hop Soul’. Album highlights include the singles “Real Love”, a cover of Chaka Khan’s “Sweet Thing“, an epic love duet with then-partner K-Ci Hailey (of Jodeci fame) and Blige rapping on the album’s title track.

While Abel often discusses his own sexual desires, “Wanderlust” shows how misconstrued the idea of real “love” is today. Throughout Abel describes a contradicting woman who in the end has no idea of true love because she is caught up in something much bigger From Weeknd’s distinct word choice to the precious sample, the record’s aspects mesh to make one of Abel’s more thoughtful and timeless tracks.

Songstress The Worst’s album Souled Out is set to drop in less than a week and Genius already has the lyrics up for your viewing pleasure! After the release of her powerful anthem “To Love & Die” and the soothing yet tension filled record “The Pressure”, the Slauson native releases her third project revolved around a celestial concept, (make sure to check out Sailing Soul(s) and Sail Out).

Jhene soothes the soul with such tracks like “Eternal Sunshine” where she reminces on the good things in life, yet can show her rough side in such tracks like “Lyin King”, where she discusses a hurtful relationship where the man will never know true love. Not to mention we get to see a beautiful feature from her daughter Namiko in the tear jerker “Promises”. The project features production from The Fisticuffs, No I.D., and Dot Da Genius, as well as a verse from Common. You can find all the tracks here!

Frank Ocean dives into the brain, searching for answers to women, love, and the more confusing parts of human nature. In this process, Frank croons about the greatest pink matter of them all, while he gets assistance from Life Of The Party focusing specifically on the love portion of pink matter.

That soft pink matter
Cotton candy Majin Buu
Close my eyes and fall into you
My god she’s giving me pleasure

After Usher’s return single “Good Kisser” off his upcoming 8th studio album, he unleashed yet another collab with Pharrell Williams entitled “She Came To Give It To You”! Backed by Usher’s charismatic vocals, Pharrell’s fucky production, and another feature verse from Nicki Minaj, the song’s compelling groove makes it a radio hit and an even more stunning piece of art:

It ain’t what you do, its what you do tonight
And there ain’t no shortcut, to doing something right
Said if you do what I do, she’ll be yours tonight
Just look around the club cuz and have a good time

After her debut single “2On” caught the attention of many people across the nation, Tinashe not only drops off the release date for her debut album Aquarius, but also a tracklist and the long awaited A$AP Rocky assisted single “Pretend”. On this track instead of a carefree woman we see her struggling to hide the fact she is facing a failing relationship:

Let’s pretend you never lied
So I can give it up all night
Swallow my pride, and learn to forgive
When I’m looking for love I pretend
