Dylan In The Movies is an ever -changing group of players who orbit front-man Brian Sullivan's voice and guitar. Among those who appear on "Feel the Pull", Nashville- based singer/songwriter Neilson Hubbard, former Letters To Cleo bass player Scott Riebling and legendary alternative rocker Tanya Donelly (Throwing Muses, Breeders, Belly). A full length is planned for 2007. A 7" vinyl split with John P Strohm (Blake Babies, Lemonheads) released in early 2007 on American Laundromat Records features a new track called "City Skies." For now, Brian is safe inside writing and recording songs that he hopes will someday find their way.
Better Days
Dylan In the Movies Lyrics

I will carry with me to the grave
I will stand in free
I think of you when
All the flowers come back in the spring
I will stand in for you
I will stand in for you
I will chain my evil ways
If I am lost in a thought
It's cause I am thinking a lot About you
About you
These are the things that keep me
Tripping and stumbling
But i will still stand in for you
But i will still stand in for you
Hold on to my better days
I will chain my evil ways
It's cause if I am lost in a thought
It's cause I have been thinking a lot
About you
About you
There is car in the road
And inside of it
There is car in the road
And inside of it
This house was once my home
And I love you
Hold on to my better days
And I will chain my evil ways
Might be over the shock
But I haven't forgot
About you
The song "Better Days" by Dylan In the Movies revolves around the theme of love and the desire to stand by someone through thick and thin. The opening verse, "This is the day / I will carry with me to the grave / I will stand in free" sets the tone for the rest of the song which speaks about the enduring nature of love. The line, "I think of you when / All the flowers come back in the spring" stands as a testament to the timelessness of love and its ability to transcend seasons and time.
The chorus of the song, "Hold on to my better days / I will chain my evil ways" speaks of the singer's promise to stay true to their love and resist their vices. The line "If I am lost in a thought / It's cause I am thinking a lot / About you" highlights the singer's preoccupation with their love and their constant thinking about that person. The repetition of the line "About you" further emphasizes the depth of the singer's feelings.
The final verse of the song, "There is car in the road / And inside of it / There is car in the road / And inside of it / This house was once my home / And I love you" adds a tinge of nostalgia to the song. The image of an abandoned car and an old house serve as a metaphor for the past and a reminder of the love that once existed.
Overall, the song "Better Days" is an ode to the enduring nature of love, and the lengths that someone would go to keep a promise to their loved one.
