Female Tribute To Tom Waits - Vol.1 [CD1] (2008) Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
So in love you too fine...
So in love, you and I...
So in love...This can't be right
These lyrics convey a sense of deep love and affection for someone. The singer is so in love that they can't believe that they've found someone so perfect and wonderful. The repetition of the phrase "So in love" emphasizes the singer's intense feelings and the use of the phrase "This can't be right" suggests that the singer may not have expected to find love like this.
The song is likely a tribute to Tom Waits, possibly inspired by his oftentimes moody and melancholic songs about love and relationships. The female vocalist's voice is haunting and emotional, adding to the overall sense of love and longing conveyed in the song.

I love this whole female tribute album don't get me wrong, I just feel some of them miss the emotions in some of the songs, but hey it's a cover right.

+Elvyra Irmler I dunno, this cover and the original song both kinda have that same "The end is nigh!" feeling but they both have completely different approaches to it.
Pippin Covington
This sounds really good and I love her voice and the instrumentation, but it completely misses the feeling of the song.
It sounds so good though that I guess I can't complain

It's not that bad. At least Tom has enough recognition that people are paying tribute to him. And some of these tracks are done pretty nice. I think Norah Jones might have the best one out of them all.
Colin Bennett
Liz Durrett. Turns a minor Waits song into a masterpiece of melancholy
Hi Bye
Hi! I like the fact that it's a remake instead of an imitation. Good job. Bye!
