Their most famous work is the 2000 international hit I See You Baby, remixed by Fatboy Slim in the Big Beat style -- with the repeated chorus line "Shakin' that ass," as heard in Renault Mรฉgane advertisements. Vocals were provided by Ibiza-based DJ Gram'Ma Funk. Incidentally, this track was also recorded with the chorus line "Shakin' that thang" as a radio edit. While this is their most famous work, they have also produced less mainstream songs which are often featured in television adverts.
In the early part-of 2008 after parting company with Sony BMG, Groove Armada signed an "all encompassing deal" with the Bacardi rum brand that allows them to use GA's tracks for adverts. For more information, read Bands turn to brands in new deals

The lyrics to Groove Armada's song "At The River" describe the idyllic experience of being surrounded by nature, particularly sandy beaches, and picturesque villages. The repetition of "If you're fond of sand dunes and salty air, quaint little villages here and there" emphasizes the desire for simplicity and escapism from the chaos of everyday life.
The use of "quaint" and "little" indicates a preference for small and cute villages over larger cities, creating a sense of intimacy and nostalgia. The mention of "salty air" conjures images of the sea and its associated freedom and tranquillity.
The song can be interpreted as a call for individuals to embrace the natural world and disconnect from the busyness of urban society. It encourages the listener to take a step back and appreciate the beauty of the world around them.

It was 2002 when I discovered this song and Groove Armada, my then girlfriend and I were into them. This moment in time was for me a new beginning in my life, a rebirth almost. This song reminds me of that feeling I had back then. She died of breast cancer at 56โฆMandy you pulled me out of that hole I was in. Thank you.

Amazing comment.
Nothing like crying in public, on a Monday morning, in the break room at work.
And nothing like reading the comments of strangers to take you there. And(!!!) there's nothing like this song.
This hook is a complete experience. You use your ears, heart and soul. I can't help feeling like it's up above and on into that plane of...just above music. It's obviously music, it's Groove Armada, but it's a tiny bit more, than just that.

I was always an insomniac and back in the 90s I'd stay up all night watching Open University. They used to play this music during the intermissions. I assumed it was a piece of stock music written for just that purpose. Then one day, I saw a die hard film. In the basement at the airport there was a gramaphone playing. Recognising it as the sample used in this track I rushed over to my mothers house and played it for her on the piano to find out what it was. She recognised it but all she could tell me was "It's about the seaside but I can't remember the lyrics"
I then put all of these details on a DIY forum in the vague hope that someone would know what I'm talking about. Finally after more than a decade of searching, someone answered my prayers and told me that the record playing in Die Hard was "Old Cape Cod" by Patsi Paige and this was used as a sample on the track "At the River" by Groove Armada.
