He is currently signed to Visionary Music Group and Capitol Records. Bellion also opened the concerts from the third leg of twenty one pilots' Emotional Roadshow World Tour, which also featured guest artists Judah and the Lion.
Strictly a producer at age 14, Bellion became increasingly fed up with being asked for generic records. After literally giving singing and rapping "a shot" out of frustration, the now 32-year-old Bellion has developed an incredibly unique lane untouched by anyone. His obsession with moving forward and experimentation has driven him to create "solid and refreshing tunes", and in the words of Jon himself "that's all that really matters"
Jon's 2010 mixtape "Scattered Thoughts Vol. 1", an exploration of different genres all written, composed, produced, and sung by Jon, is available to download from his official site: http://www.jonbellion.com/
Bellion has since released three more mixtapes: Translations Through Speakers, The Separation, and The Definition.
His first album 'The Human Condition' was released on June 10th, 2016; his first piece of music that was sold instead of given for free. His second album "Glory Sound Prep" was released on November 9th, 2018. His single, "Crop Circles" was released on May 31, 2019.
Bellion embarked on The Glory Sound Prep Tour which began on June 12 and concluded on November 12 of the same year. He helped produce and write singles such as "Stacy" and "Life Must Go On" by Quinn XCII, as well as "Liar" and "Shameless" by Camila Cabello, "Graveyard" by Halsey, and "Memories" by Maroon 5, "Holy" by Justin Bieber, featuring Chance the Rapper. Bellion co-wrote multiple songs on Justin Bieber's Justice album, including the hit song "Ghost", which Bellion says he wrote about his late grandmother. The song reached #1 on US Pop Radio. He also co-wrote and co-produced "Vulnerable" from Selena Gomez's 2020 album Rare and co-wrote "Daisies" by Katy Perry.
On June 8, 2021, Bellion took to Twitter where he tweeted "New music" before quickly deleting the tweet. He then changed his social media into a "blacked-out" state a couple of weeks later. Jon was featured on Lawrence's song "False Alarms" released on July 22, 2021. Bellion released his first single in over 2 years, "I Feel It" (with Burna Boy) on September 17, 2021. On February 19, 2023, Bellion released an unfinished song called "Fallen" to his social media. The song features Jon Batiste.
In July 2019, Bellion launched his own record label called Beautiful Mind Records and signed the pop/soul band, Lawrence. Lawrence was the opener for most of his shows on the Glory Sound Prep Tour. He helped write and produce three singles off of their 2021 debut album Hotel TV: "Casualty", "It's Not All About You", and "The Weather".
Bellion has stated that his intention with this new label is to "take care of artists for the rest of their careers" and to create a family of musical creators who he supports and with whom he collaborates.
Bellion has stated on multiple occasions that Kanye West is one of his biggest inspirations. "I loved everything but it was Kanye West who really changed everything for me." Bellion has also stated that he was inspired by Eminem, Pharrell Williams, Coldplay, John Mayer, André 3000, and Paul Simon. Bellion has also made it known that he is a big fan of J Dilla and the animated film studio Pixar, drawing inspiration from the musician and computer animation film studio for both The Definition and The Human Condition. Bellion explains that he loves how Pixar movies are "simple yet presented in a way that is groundbreaking". Bellion credits much of his musical development and success to his bandmates whom he met while in college, expressing his love for them in his "Beautiful Mind Documentary" stating, "Everybody in my band has taught me something, and has gotten me to where I am because of them" continuing "I surround myself with people better than me at something, you will very rarely see somebody around me, especially musically, who I don't look up to".
Wutup Snow?
Jon Bellion Lyrics

The conversation is cocaine
I'll call her snow
(Yeah, that's your new nickname)
Her body is cold
The conversation is cocaine
I'll call her snow
(Wutup snow?)
Yeah, wutup to snow
She always keep it funky like afros
A little bit of panic
'Cause my heart's Titanic like oh he so DiCaprio
She knows more than me about Dragon Ball Z
How cold is that? How cold is that?
(That's pretty cold son)
She's so Andre to me, she's 3000 degrees
How cold is that? how cold is that?
(I think that she's ice cold then, right?)
I'm making music in a blue room
She walks in, in black lingerie
And she likes Italian white kids
So when we hit the bedroom
We turning Fifty Shades of Grey
Nickname stuck now she won't let it go
So now I'm undercovers, screaming "let it snow!"
No we rubbing noses like we Eskimos
Beautiful mind, you already know
Her body is cold
The conversation is cocaine
I'll call her snow
(Yeah, that's your new nickname)
Her body is cold
The conversation is cocaine
I'll call her snow
(Wutup snow?)
Yeah, wutup to snow
She always keep it funky like afros
A little bit of panic
'Cause my heart's Titanic like oh he so DiCaprio
Say "Hello" to the woman frozen like pose in a tundra
I wonder if I propose will she open up like umbrellas
Or will she close, I would hope that you were in the no
'Cause that dress is wrapping around her like packets on bags of blow
She so classic, I never pass it, so passionate, making racket
When raggin', grabbin' her toes, a total package and all
Never get in her face about movin' in steady paces
Throw those other broads away, just so he waist don't go to waist
I'm the detective on this case, but I've defected on this record
Investigating a case and pursuing her in a chase
I might ruin her when I'm through with her, but only she would know
If I broke her heart in to pieces and dropped it when it was frozen
And I'm a snow man, we hold hands, I melt when she gets close
Grabbin' my carrot, I'm an addict, for this habit, I have chosen
As the weathers getting warmer and the season is done
I'm a make sure to keep you on the tip of my tongue
I'll call her snow, I'll call her snow
I'll call her snow, I'll call her snow
I'll call her snow, I'll call her snow, I'll call her snow
She's so cold
Ba-bada-ba
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
I'll call her snow, I'll call her snow
I'll call her snow, I'll call her snow
I'll call her snow, I'll call her snow, I'll call her snow
I'll call her snow, I'll call her snow
I'll call her snow, I'll call her snow
I'll call her snow, I'll call her snow, I'll call her snow
The song "Wutup Snow?" by Jon Bellion is about a woman who the singer calls "Snow" because she has a cold body and the conversation with her is like cocaine. The lyrics suggest that the woman is cool, unique and quirky and the singer is fascinated by her. The woman is intelligent and knows more about Dragon Ball Z than the singer, which he finds impressive. She is also attracted to Italian white guys, which is a detail that the singer seems to be proud of.

The singer describes how their nickname for Snow stuck and how they became physically intimate. In the end, the singer admits that he might ruin Snow but he wants to keep her close to him.
