Beautiful War
Kings of Leon (USA) Lyrics

Don't make a scene dear
Everybody's been here
At least once before
But we've been here more
Your heart breaks
Rolls down the window
I've seen it all go
I've heard the sound
The tip of your tongue
The top of your lungs
Is doing my head in
I say love
Don't mean nothing
Left them something
Worth fighting for
It's a beautiful war
When I hold
The warmth of your body
There is nobody
That I'd rather hold
Shattered and cold
The tip of your tongue
The top of your lungs
Is making me crazy
I say love
Don't mean nothing
Left them something
Worth fighting for
It's a beautiful war
I say love
You don't need nothing
Left them something
Worth fighting for
It's a beautiful war
It's a beautiful war
It's a beautiful war
I say love
I say love
Don't need nothing
Left them something,
Worth fighting for
I say love
Don't need nothing
Left them something
Worth fighting for
It's a beautiful war
It's a beautiful war
It's a beautiful war
It's a beautiful war
The song "Beautiful War" by Kings of Leon is an introspective musing on the struggles of love and relationships. The opening lines, "Bite your tongue, don't make a scene dear, everybody's been here at least once before," suggest a sense of resignation to the inevitable conflicts that arise in any relationship. The repeated refrain of "I say love, don't mean nothing" underscores the sense that love is a battlefield, and that even when we give our all, we are often left feeling shattered and cold.
Despite this underlying sense of conflict, there is also a sense of hope in the song. The line "left them something worth fighting for" suggests that even when relationships are difficult, they are still worth fighting for. The repeated refrain of "it's a beautiful war" reinforces the idea that even though love can be painful, it is also a thing of great beauty.
Overall, "Beautiful War" is a song about the complexity of love and relationships. It acknowledges the struggles and difficulties that come with any deep emotional connection, but also celebrates the beauty and joy that can be found in those same struggles.

I lost my wife in a road traffic accident in 2014 she was only 36.When I went back to work after it all had happened I heard this song on the radio I'd never heard it before and thought it was beautiful. 6 years on from then it takes me back to a terrible time but its still as beautiful.

I don't like how he strikes his girl's brother on the ground multiple times this make him a coward. As the director I would have changed this one part otherwise great song and video

@@timothymcintosh2932ain’t no coward just a man who let his emotions get the best of him, cowardice is ignorance, watch yourself.
@caledoniawarrior
Kicking or hitting a man when he is down is considered the craft of the coward, if you would do that you would rape a puppy. Try that in the penal systems of the West and a squad would come into your cell and bury a bonecrusher in your chest.
