What wonderful memories this song brings to my mind! 1977 in Nairobi,young innocent and enjoying hanging out with my pals and listening to this number on VOK Radio's Beat time program at 5.00pm in the evening. DJ Steve Macharia playing all those great hits of the seventies. Those days are no more,sigh,sigh. Barbados, ever in my bucket list for a visit. I have a soft spot for the country since I met some Boxers from the country who had visited Kenya for the Jomo Kenyatta Gold Cup Boxing tournament in Nairobi in 1978. Then years later, my daughter had a Flat mate from Barbados when she lived in PA USA.

The first time I heard Wendy Allen was 40 years ago at a wedding at Princeton, Corriverton, Guyana. The songs of Wendy Allen bring back memories of my younger days and she still remain one of my favourite Caribbean singers.

@PeterCarib she was honoured at an independence celebrations ceremony last year by the late honourable David Thompson...my understanding is that she works as an entertainer on cruise ships.
