Kiss Yo Homies
senzawa Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

This goes out to all my homies
Yeah

No matter the day
My homie be there
Be it rain or shine
Be it circle or square
McDonald′s he know
He always come through
My homie see me for me, yeah, he know that I'm true
2D tempting me
But my homie, he raise my internal climate
I can′t even begin to describe it
My shoulder to cry on
My homie, we spoon
He caresses my cheek, he hold my hand in the bathroom
No room for the weak
Always showing me memes
I'd take a D for my homie
You know man, so to speak
Give him the V-Bucks in exchange for the good suck
Grinding my account on Fortnite and kissing my homies goodnight

Kiss your homies before you sleep
If there's no tongue, that make you weak
Kiss your homies before you sleep
If there′s no tongue, that make you weak

To my homie (Kiss your homies, homies, homies, homies)

No homo
Yeet, yeet

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of this song, "Kiss Yo Homies," by Senzawa, have stirred up a lot of controversy and diverse reactions, particularly on social media platforms such as TikTok. The song seems to promote the idea of kissing your male friends on the lips before going to sleep, suggesting that it is a sign of true friendship and loyalty. In the first verse, the singer acknowledges the unwavering devotion of her friend, whom she refers to as "homie." She depicts their relationship as one built on mutual trust and understanding, characterized by an unbreakable bond. The chorus reinforces the idea that kissing one's friends is an acceptable and even desirable act of affection, as long as it is done without passion or sexual undertones.

The second verse delves deeper into the singer's personal experience, where she reflects on her attraction to a fictional character named "2D." This character, presumably from the virtual band "Gorillaz," represents a romantic temptation that the singer feels but ultimately rejecting in favor of the love and comfort she finds in her friendship with her homie. The line, "He raise my internal climate, I can't even begin to describe it," could be interpreted as the singer finding emotional fulfillment and intimacy in her friendship, despite societal expectations that suggest such emotions should be reserved for romantic partners. The song concludes with an affirmation of the singer's love for her homie, accompanied by a playful and humorous ad-lib of "yeet, yeet."

The original got copyright claimed I'm so salty. I'm glad you managed to save this, at least.

Gonna miss the slideshow but what can we do?

@meisterl0

I was revisiting her channel and knew something was missing. Dang piece of history gone.

@CarloBarcial7

How's is it copyrighted? This song is originally made

@TheScathed

@@CarloBarcial7 the instrumental she used. It's technically license free but she didn't credit it correctly. In the description from the original vid, senzawa got it from a channel that compiled a bunch of license free music but she credited the channel that compiled it instead of the artist it came from. Really easy mistake to make. It's really unfortunate.
